❶(~する)だろう; (~する)つもりだ  ⦣ will 1 の過去形として使われる場合.

主節の動詞 (thought) が過去なのでそれに合わせて that 以下の助動詞も過去の would になる. 「雨が降っただろうと思った」と訳さないこと.
